In a matter of days, the entire Ward clan will descend upon Utah.  This is some of the tomfoolery you can look forward to.

Sunday Dinner at Grandma’s and Grandpa’s July 5, 2009

When we were kids, every Sunday we would go to Grandma and Grandpa’s house in North Vancouver for Sunday dinner.  Without fail, we would have meat spaghetti with Parmesan cheese, homestyle shake and bake chicken with Miracle Whip on it (trust me, it’s divine) and chocolate milk.  Then we’d watch Star Trek.  Every single Sunday, it was tradition.

With Grandma’s recent passing, Grandma’s children and grandkids gathered together at her home to remember her.  We thought it only fitting that the last meal we ate together in her home be that same Sunday dinner that she used to make for us, chocolate milk and all.  Even us lactose intolerant few had a couple sips 🙂

I think I may have decided what to have for dinner…

Do you have any nostalgic meals that your parents or grandparents made that have carried on through your kitchen?

My little bro Joe arrived early this morning from Vancouver for General Conference this weekend.  We got a cool text from him Monday saying, “hypothetically, if I were to come to visit for conference, would I have a place to stay…?”  Always!

When Joe walked through the door at 4:30 this morning, Ginger looked bewildered to see him, then turned and looked me in the eye as if to say, “Who’s this?”  It didn’t take them long to get reacquainted.  Joe and Ginger go way back.

Stand Up for the Family October 6, 2008

As I have mentioned before, I have a great respect for individuals who live alternate lifestyles – I have several dear friends who have chosen this lifestyle.

Today I received this video about young children being exposed to the idea of homosexuality, loving parents’ attempts to educate their children on their own terms, and the chilling consequences.

Please take a few minutes minutes and watch and just see what you think as a parent.

****

It starts with usurping parental rights to the point of incarceration, and will quickly deteriorate to a loss of religious freedoms and moral convictions being classified as bigotry and treated as if they were no better than racism. Please spread this video around! A lot of people have no idea where same-sex marriage is going to take us.
